Sam's First Week

Hello,

My name is Sam and I have recently completed my first week as a PPC Account Executive at Aquamarine Media.

In May, I completed my degree in International Business with a 1st class honours, which included a mandatory international placement. For my placement, I spent a year in Spain where I studied at the Universitat de Barcelona for 6 months and I spent the other half of the year in a marketing internship.

It is here where I was first introduced to marketing concepts in the real world, including PPC and AdWords. While I didn’t spend lots of time working on this, I found the possibilities of it amazing, and it was something that I really enjoyed learning about. As such, when I saw the opportunity to work and specialise as a PPC Account Executive I applied right away!

I started at the agency at the beginning of the month. I began learning about the vast portfolio of clients and the way in which Aquamarine reports the work that they have done. I have also developed negative key words, learnt about various attribution models from an informative Google Attribution live stream and developed ad-copy. I feel like I have learnt so much already!

In the upcoming weeks, I’m excited to work closely with a range of different clients. There is so much diversity in the industries of Aquamarine’s clients, so it is exciting to be exposed to so many vibrant trades. There may even be the opportunity to utilise some of my Spanish amongst some of the accounts, which will be brilliant.

All in all, it has been an intense initial week, and I can’t wait to see the development of my PPC knowledge and to become a real asset to Aquamarine.
