Linnea’s Second Week

Hi everyone!

It’s Linnea the intern here again. I’ve finished my second week at Aquamarine Media, which was all about social media.

It was a great week and very interesting to see how Sophie manages the social media work. You could tell that she knows what she is doing and it was really fun to learn from her. I have learnt to do news research for Twitter and Facebook, manage Facebook business manager, upload company blogposts, manage Hootsuite and much more.

I feel like the social media work comes a little more naturally for me than the PPC work did but you can’t really compare them, they are very different from each other and I really enjoyed doing both. I also took over the Instagram account so you should check that out!

One of my goals last week was to learn the difference between managing a company’s page from your own personal Facebook and Twitter etc. It’s a pretty big difference in terms of the content but also with the managing – ever heard of Hootsuite before? Me neither, but that’s where I have been managing all the social media pages and posts.

This week will be a nice mix of PPC and social media so that I get more comfortable with both. I have also begun an AdWords course on Google Partners and hopefully I will pass the exam in the end of my internship and become certified.

This week we also have a lot of new exciting things in the calendar, one thing that I really look forward to is the Exeter Food Festival’s launch party. We are also going to the Exeter Chamber of Commerce lunch which I think will be both fun and interesting. As you can hear this week is full of exciting things and new tasks!
